Sahara India Pariwar provides financial assistance to residents of Lucknow through Social Welfare Progamme

Sahara Welfare Foundation, an entity of Sahara India Pariwar has been actively engaged in the development of society. This entity of Sahara India Pariwar works in the fields like primary health care, rehabilitation of challenged people, education, disaster relief and rehabilitation, developing skills, providing support to families of Mumbai and Kargil Martyrs’s, ensures social security of residents of Lucknow, Pune and Gorakhpur through welfare programs. Under the social Welfare programme of Karmabhoomi Kartavyapoorti Yojana, Sahara India Pariwar provides the accidental death cover to the residents of Lucknow.

Under this Karmabhoomi Kartavyapoorti Yojana, in the occurrence of accidental death of any of Lucknow’s residents, his or her heir is provided with financial assistance of Rupees twenty five thousands by Sahara India Pariwar. Recently, under this scheme, Shri Pushkar Verma, Area Manager Worker of Sahara India Pariwar provided financial assistance worth Rs. 2500/- to the families of 19 individuals who lost their life in an accident.

The 19 people who were provided with financial assistance of Rs. 25000/- per person at Sahara India, Zonal Office, Sahara Trade Centre, Farizabad Road in Lucknow are Smt. Preeti Sharma, Smt. Manorama, Smt. Gavatri Singh Chauhan, Smt. Mariam, Smt Gavatri Devi, Smt. Devki Devi Pathak, Smt. Divya Verma, Smt. Sushma Kesharvani, Smt. Beera Devi, Shri Lal Bihari Pandey, Smt. Mala Srivastava, Smt. Laxmi, Smt. Sunaina Devi, Shri Muralidhar, Smt. Sahana Parveen, Smt. Sukhdevi, Smt. Pinki Mishra, Smt. Phoolmati Rawat and Smt. Suman Srivastava.

The Karmabhoomi Kartavyapoorti Yojana was announced by Subrata Roy Sahara, founder and Chairman of Sahara India Pariwar on the occasion of Jyoti Diwas on 1 April 2011. The residents of Lucknow are only eligible to get financial assistance under this scheme if the deceased was an adult under the purview of Lucknow Nagar Nigam as per the electoral list. The heir of the deceased has to inform Sahara India Pariwar by submitting an application on a plain paper along with some essential documents like postmortem report, FIR and Death Certificate etc.
