Sahara solemnizes 101 marriages of underprivileged in its annual ‘Samuhik Vivah Samaroh

The annual ‘Samuhik Vivah Samaroh’ conducted by Sahara India Pariwar is one such step in the same direction.

Sahara India Pariwar, also popularly known as Sahara Group, celebrates 101 marriages of girls in its annual event ‘Samuhik Vivah Samaroh’. These girls come from the weaker sections of the society. The Samaroh is organized every year by Sahara Group with huge fanfare at Sahara Shaher, Lucknow. In the event, weddings of 101 underprivileged girls from different religions are performed at one common place. The Samuhik Vivah Samaroh is being organized since 2004.

The Sahara Group invites applications from the families of bride and groom who find it difficult to bear the cost of marriage. After the process of verification, the applicants are included for the Samaroh. All the marriage arrangements like food, clothes, accommodation of the relatives, Welcoming of the Baraat, Kanyadaan, 101 Mandaps, etc. are made by Sahara India Pariwar of Subrata Roy. Sahara also helps all the newly wedded couples in starting a new life. Sahara gifts Rs. 1 lakh worth of basic household items to each couple. The gifts consist of Color Television, Refrigerator, Almirah, a double-bed, dressing table, jewelry, Suits to the groom, Sarees to the bride and wrist watch for both. Subrata Roy’s Sahara even takes care of the delivery of these gifts at the couple’s house.

On the occasion of 101 marriages, the entire ambience of Sahara Shaher is made attractively beautiful with decoration of flowers and Rangoli. The marriages of various communities are solemnized by the renowned priests of their respective communities. The Samaroh is conducted amidst the gathering of distinguished invitees and Kartavyayogi workers of Sahara India Pariwar. They extend their heartiest greetings to the newly wedded couples. This is followed by lunch organized for the newly wedded couples, their families and guests. The newly wedded couples are also bestowed with a photograph.
